The season that has just ended was simply incredible for Felix Nilsson! In the span of just twelve months, the Swedish driver completed his transition from young driver discovering international karting for the first time to fully-fledged winner... Behind this there is most of all the work and determination of a young man who has made a stunning progression. Behind the wheel of his Intrepid-Parilla from the LM Karting Team, he has moved all across Europe to build up experience and reach top drivers, who have started karting much earlier than he has.

His participations at the European Championship, the World Cup or the WSK rounds have made him battle-hardened, so much so that he has been able to move up to another level this end of season. First of all at the Ayrton Senna Trophy held in Sarno, on the international circuit of Naples. This Trophy, which includes three finals held on 13, 19 and 20 November, saw Felix conquer two victories and conclude once with a fourth place. These performances allowed him to walk away with the final victory in this renowned Trophy in Italy.
"Each race was hard fought and the results I achieved came after intense fight in the leading pack. The first victory - after starting from pole - made me feel confident and I went on with a second success in the following race despite a 7th place at the start. During the last final, I lost a few places due to some pushing at the start of the race but I managed to move up from 10th to 4th, enough to comfortably win the Ayrton Senna Trophy, which I was very keen on", Felix stated.

Three weeks later, the Swedish driver confirmed his state of form in the best way, by leading again a fast and effective race at the Champions Cup in Vendrell (Spain). "It was great! A year ago I was fighting to finish 15th in this same race and this time I claimed the second step of the podium. Though I was just 25th before the final phases, I was very competitive, I made some good starts, I passed several opponents and I did not make any mistakes". At 14, Felix Nilsson can look forward to 2012 with optimism...
