Opener to the FA World Championship and ICA World Cup Angerville meeting 28, 29, 30 July 2006 Organiser : ASK Rosny and Gérard Tonelli

Before the main event in next Septembers meeting at Angerville, the FA and ICA categories will take pride of place in a preparatory race for the World Championship. Known as the «Julie Tonelli Trophy», the race will be run using the same track configuration and under the same rules as World Championship events, offering drivers and manufacturers alike a unique opportunity to participate and drive under such conditions. Construction work at Angerville will be completed by then and the superb new karting track will boast asphalted runoffs, a first for a CIK certified Kart track ! The new runoffs feature the «Colgrip» high-grip asphalt surface specially developed by COLAS as a replacement for our trusty old gravel pits. The new surface combines optimal safety with an attractively modern visual appeal. This preparatory race will be organized by Jean-Pierre Deschamps and the entire ASK Rosny team, who already have some twenty international events to their name, including two world championships. At this level, nothing is left to chance, thorough preparation and experience are vital. Two additional categories have also been included in the programme. Under the national regulations currently in force, all National and Minikart drivers will be free to take part in this new event and have the opportunity to show off their skills in front of the whos who of world karting. Continuing his efforts to perpetuate his daughters name internationally, Gérard Tonelli is pleased to sponsor this memorial event in the Ile-de-France region. By teaming up with JeanPierre Deschamps and his team, he has opted for quality above all else.
