Dorian Boccolacci emerged in 2012 as one of the valuable assets in international karting. For his second season in KF3, he raised the pace with great maturity and fought for leadership at each occasion thanks to his usual natural combativeness. Third in the European Championship, he possessed the talent necessary to achieve even more brilliant results at the World Cup, but fate decided otherwise. In any event, he has now become a fully fledged driver , coveted by many teams. This young driver from the Lotus F1 Junior Team and the Equipe de France FFSA Karting team will join this year the Energy Corse team in KF, with the firm intention of going for victory in 2013.

Undeniably endowed with an uncommon ability to understand when to attack, Dorian showed a number of impressive performances during his previous season in KF3. He made his debut in 2012 as official driver of the Intrepid Driver Program, then he quickly proved his worth in the team, so much so that he became their No. 1 driver in KF3. Though his karts have not always been easy to set-up to reach the same level as the best drivers, Dorian has never spared his efforts to get the maximum from his kart. A few outside circumstances stopped him from getting the reward his talent deserved, but overall his achievements throughout the past year have been largely positive and have clearly confirmed the stunning potential of this driver from the Var region.

Dorian has simply excelled in terms of pure speed and racing strategy. Despite being just 14, he has already built up considerable experience. His flawless physical condition and a mind of steel enable him to give his best at each occasion. He had started off on the right foot for the title in the European Championship but one of his team mates forced him to retire in Race 2 at Varennes-sur-Allier. After conquering the leadership in the qualifying phase during the second round held in Great Britain, he pushed hard his Intrepid/TM up to the last inch to secure a place on the podium. During the World Cup round held at Zuera, he was relegated to the back of the pack due to a technical compliance issue concerning a small detail of his chassis. On that occasion too, he had to resort to all his skills to regain as many as 20 places in the first 12 laps of the final, but his place in the world top 15 is far from what he is really capable of. Unfortunately these things happen in competitions...

Specialists are well aware of these mishaps and Dorian's rating has continued to grow throughout the year. In fact, this young driver from the Lotus F1 Junior Team received several offers with a view to 2013. After a number of tests performed at the end of the season he signed an agreement with the Energy Corse team, which has been at the top of the standings and has conquered many titles over the past few years. Therefore Dorian will embark on a new adventure, this time in the KF class, which attracts all the best drivers in current karting. He will be able to rely on the technical team that supported him in 2012, since the formidable duo Luigina-Simone will be with him in 2013 too. A veteran of TM engines, he will also remain loyal to the Italian company he has established very good relations with. He might also decide to compete in KZ when times are ripe, taking the opportunity to measure himself with its powerful gearbox karts that behave very similarly to single seaters.

Now more than ever, Boccolacci is a driver worth keeping an eye on 2013 in his pursuit of victory on the European karting circuits, given his solid driving ability and the sporting team that supports him.
