Pronostic difficile avant le départ de la finale de la Coupe du Monde KF2 à Sarno. Sans problème particulier, Loris Spinelli (Tony Kart/Vortex) possède le plus de chance de s'imposer, c'est incontestable, mais Paolo Ippolito (Kosmic/Vortex) reste très rapide et Tanart Sathienthirakul (Tony Kart/TM) a le potentiel pour décrocher enfin un titre d'importance. De plus il peut se passer beaucoup de choses dans les lignes suivantes. Coup de stress pour Moller-Madsen dont le moteur ne démarre pas de la grille de départ.
L'intervention de son mécanicien lui permet de partir, mais en dernière position. Sami Luka sort dans le 1er virage, Spinelli part devant suivi par Sathienthirakul, mais il se fait déborder par Antonio Giovinazzi (PCR/TM). Paolo Ippolito (Tony Kart/Vortex) et Jakub Dalewski (Tony Kart/Vortex) se neutralisent dans le 2ème tour, Pascal Belmaaziz (DR/Parilla) récupère la 4ème position devant Sam Snell (Energy/TM) et Christian Sorensen (Tony Kart/Vortex). Snell perd deux places au profit de Sorensen et Michelle Gatting (Birel/BMB).
La bataille fait rage entre Giovinazzi et Spinelli. Stefano Cucco (Birel/Parilla) pointe 7ème devant Victor Sendin (Tony Kart/Vortex) avant que celui-ci ne perde 2 places. Tour 5: Giovinazzi en tête devant Sathienthirakul et Spinelli. Belmaaziz passe 3ème au tour suivant, Sathienthirakul chute 5ème. Giovinazzi a pris un peu d'avance, mais cela reste très serré dans le peloton de quatre poursuivants. Sorensen attaque Belmaaziz, Gatting pointe 5ème. Spinelli se rapproche dangereusement de Giovinazzi, le leader et reprend les commandes de la course au 8ème passage. Gatting a dépassé Belmaaziz, maintenant menacé par Sathienthirakul. Cucco est 7ème, Ippolito 8ème, Gianni Vigorito (Birel/BMB) 9ème, Snell 10ème et Sendin 11ème.
Mi-course, Spinelli possède une courte avance de 0,5'' sur Giovinazzi, les poursuivants s'espacent progressivement. Sathienthirakul chute 9ème. Sorensen, 3ème, revient petit à petit sur Giovinazzi, Belmaaziz contient encore Ippolito, auteur du meilleur tour. Sauf coup de théâtre, Spinelli est bien parti pour remporter la Coupe suivi par Giovinazzi et Sorensen. Gatting va avoir du mal à monter sur le podium, d'autant qu'elle abandonne dans le 15ème tour. Belmaaziz a cédé sa 5ème place à Ippolito. Sorensen parvient à faire la jonction avec Giovinazzi à 2 tours de l'arrivée. Il passe second dans le dernier tour. Belmaaziz résiste au retour de Vigorito et c'est Cucco qui en profite pour les passer tous les deux.
Spinelli remporte la Coupe du Monde KF2, c'est le délire dans les tribunes, Sorensen prend finalement la 2ème position devant un Giovinazzi dépité. 4ème Ippolito, 5ème Cucco, 6ème Belmaaziz, 7ème Vigorito, 8ème Sathienthirakul, 9ème Snell et 10ème Sendin.

Lap 5: Giovinazzi led from Sathienthirakul and Spinelli. Belmaaziz took third on the next lap, Sathienthirakul fell to 5th. Giovinazzi had a small lead, but it was very tight in the group of four chasers. Sorensen attacked Belmaaziz, Gatting took 5th. Spinelli came dangerously close to Giovinazzi, the leader, and took command of the race on the eighth lap. Gatting passed Belmaaziz, now threatened by Sathienthirakul. Sorensen succeeded in catching Giovinazzi with 2 laps to go. He passed on the second last lap. Belmaaziz was back from it with Vigorito and Cucco took the opportunity to pass them both.
Spinelli won the World Cup in KF2, to delirium in the stands, Sorensen finally took second ahead of a disappointed Giovinazzi. Ippolito fourth, fifth Cucco, Belmaaziz sixth, seventh Vigorito, Sathienthirakul 8th, Sendin 9th and Snell 10th.

Sem qualquer problema, Loris Spinelli (Tony Kart/Vortex) tem mais possibilidades de se impôr, é incontestável, mas Paolo Ippolito (Kosmic/Vortex) permanece bastante rápido e Tanart Sathienthirakul (Tony Kart/TM) tem o potencial para finalmente conquistar um título importante. Além disso podem acontecer bastantes coisas nas linhas seguintes. Muito stresse para Moller-Madsen cujo motor não arranca na grelha de partida.
A intervenção do seu mecânico permite-lhe partir, mas na última posição. Sami Luka tem uma saída de pista na primeira curva, Spinelli arranca no comando seguido de Sathienthirakul, mas é ultrapassado por Antonio Giovinazzi (PCR/TM). Paolo Ippolito (Tony Kart/Vortex) e Jakub Dalewski (Tony Kart/Vortex) imobilizam-se na 2ª volta, Pascal Belmaaziz (DR/Parilla) recupera a 4ª posição na frente de Sam Snell (Energy/TM) e Christian Sorensen (Tony Kart/Vortex). Snell perde dois lugares com proveito de Sorensen et Michelle Gatting (Birel/BMB).
A luta é renhida entre Giovinazzi e Spinelli. Stefano Cucco (Birel/Parilla) aparece em 7º na frente de Victor Sendin (Tony Kart/Vortex) antes deste perder 2 lugares. Volta 5: Giovinazzi no comando na frente de Sathienthirakul e Spinelli. Belmaaziz passa em 3º na volta seguinte, Sathienthirakul cai para 5º. Giovinazzi conseguiu um pequeno avanço, mas o pelotão dos quatro perseguidores permanece bastante cerrado. Sorensen ataca Belmaaziz, Gatting aparece na 5ª posição. Spinelli aproxima-se perigosamente do líder Giovinazzi, e passa para o comando da corrida à 8ª passagem. Gatting ultrapassa Belmaaziz, agora ameaçado por Sathienthirakul. Cucco é 7º, Ippolito 8º, Gianni Vigorito (Birel/BMB) 9º, Snell 10º e Sendin 11º.
À meia-corrida Spinelli possui um pequeno avanço de 0,5'' sobre Giovinazzi, enquanto os perseguidores se afastam progressivamente. Sathienthirakul cai para a 9ª posição. Sorensen em 3º, aproxima-se pouco a pouco de Giovinazzi, e Belmaaziz ainda controla Ippolito, autor da melhor volta. Salvo um azar, Spinelli está no bom caminho para conquistar a Taça, seguido de Giovinazzi e Sorensen. Para Gatting vai ser difícil de subir ao pódio, visto que ela abandona à 15ª volta. Belmaaziz cede o seu 5º lugar a Ippolito. Sorensen consegue alcançar Giovinazzi a 2 voltas da chegada e passa em segundo na última volta. Belmaaziz resiste ao regresso de Vigorito e é Cucco quem aproveita para passar ambos.
Spinelli conquista a Taça do Mundo KF2, é o delírio nas bancadas, Sorensen conquista finalmente a 2ª posição na frente de um Giovinazzi desiludido. Em 4º encontra-se Ippolito, 5º Cucco, 6º Belmaaziz, 7º Vigorito, 8º Sathienthirakul, 9º Snell e 10º Sendin.
